Craniosacral Balance Therapy
Craniosacral Balance Therapy
Description
Craniosacral Balance Therapy is a very gentle, non-massage treatment using light, sustained touch around the head and cranial area. Rather than applying pressure, kneading, or traditional massage techniques, the practitioner uses soft and attentive hand contact to create a calm environment where the body can deeply relax.
This treatment is designed to support relaxation, reduce the feeling of tension around the head and neck, and encourage the nervous system to settle. It may be particularly suitable for people experiencing stress, mental fatigue, poor sleep, tension around the head or jaw, tension headaches, or migraine-related discomfort.
The work is slow, quiet, and subtle. Many clients choose this treatment when they feel overstimulated, mentally exhausted, or simply need a deeply restful session without strong pressure.
30 minutes
A focused craniosacral session using gentle touch only. There is no traditional massage. The session is centred on stillness, deep relaxation, and nervous system support.
60 minutes
A longer craniosacral session allowing more time for gentle cranial work. When appropriate, a small amount of soft massage or gentle soft-tissue work may also be included around the scalp, face, jaw, neck, and upper shoulders. The overall treatment remains slow, light, and deeply calming.

After-Treatment Care
After Craniosacral Balance Therapy, you may continue to feel deeply relaxed for a while. Give your body a little time to settle and avoid rushing straight back into demanding activities.
* Drink enough water throughout the day and stay well hydrated.
* Allow yourself time to rest, especially if you feel sleepy or unusually relaxed.
* Avoid alcohol for the rest of the day.
* Consider limiting caffeine for several hours after the treatment, particularly if you feel light-headed, tired, sensitive, or deeply relaxed.
* Gentle walking, slow breathing, quiet time outdoors, or grounding activities may help you feel more settled and connected with your body.
* Avoid intense exercise immediately after the session if your body feels tired or very relaxed.
* Pay attention to how you feel and give yourself permission to slow down.
Some people may temporarily feel sleepy, tired, emotionally sensitive, mildly light-headed, or simply notice subtle changes in how their body feels after a deeply relaxing session. If these occur, they should generally be mild and temporary.
If you experience severe, unusual, or persistent symptoms such as a severe headache, repeated vomiting, fainting, chest pain, difficulty breathing, numbness, weakness, or symptoms that continue to worsen, please seek appropriate medical advice.
